New Year, New Site
Every couple of years I change my mind about what I want this site to be.
Sometimes I want to have a blog, with finely crafted insightful posts. That’s too much work. Other times I want a simple micro-site with a short blerb about who I am and where I can be found. That’s boring.
This year, I’m somewhere in between. I’d like to have a place to practice writing more, but I don’t want it to become a chore. So I’m laying out a few goals for myself:
- Boring Tech: Use tools I’m already familiar with to remove as much friction as possible.
- Minimal Design: Don’t sweat the details (at least at first). Hell, maybe I’ll just go the “motherfucking website” route and avoid CSS completely. Okay, probably not.
- Low Barrier Posting: Post about whatever interests me, even it’s just a few sentences. I want to write often, so don’t worry if it isn’t some long essay.
If I write something on this site on more than, let’s say five separate occasions, I’ll call it a win.
